A special note on the "Havana Silk Dog". It seems a small group of Havanese Breeders has split off and created the "Havana Silk Dog" and a Havana Silk Dog club. Their claim is that their AKC registered Havanese are somehow more Cuban and more healthy than other AKC registered Havanese. Heybern does not endorse the Havanese Silk Dog or the Havana Silk Dog Club. Havanese are Havanese.
